Osage Orange tree, February, 2007
The Osage Orange towers over the 2 and 1/2 stories of the old Clark House. Normally, Osage oranges get about a foot in diameter. They're known as border trees along fence lines. This one is 7.5 feet in diameter at four and one half feet up, the standard, and, as of the time of this photo, every single limb of it was healthy.
The spring is the green area just to the left of the base of the tree.
